Beautiful gift
I am extremely impressed with the quality of this watch. Amazon got it to me in less than a week, and my only complaint is that the box was a little damaged from some rough shipping (not necessarily Amazon's fault).

I am giving this watch to my fiance on our wedding day, I am very excited and I hope he loves it.

Happy with this purchase
The size is about 3/4ths the length of a domino and a little bit wider (a few cm more probably). Contrary to one other reviewer, I don't think this would ever be mistaken for a woman's watch, its big enough and it has a masculine aesthetic...It simply isn't one of those clunkers that are so fashionable now. I hate big watches so this was perfect for me.

The band is soft and durable, fits very nicely, quite light. The profile is slim but masculine. I was worried about the little ridges on the dials being too prominent, but they are pretty much invisible. The silver edge is shiny, so I wouldn't call this an understated watch but its not ridiculously gaudy like some of the monsters you may have seen. It will attract someone's eye but (hopefully) not make them hate you for having bought something gaudy.

The chronograph is excellent. One thing to note: what usually works as the second hand on a normal watch(the thinnest of the hands on the main face) actually only works as the counter for seconds on the chronograph(the timer), with the dial on the left measuring minutes. The dial on the right is a 24 hour clock, for AM/PM discrimination, and the dial on the bottom is actually the second hand for the universal time, so it is always ticking, whereas when the chronograph is not being used the larger second hand of the main face rests at 12 o'clock or wherever you stopped it last if you didn't reset it. This is a little weird, but if you plan on using the chronograph it makes tracking time down to the second very easy, and I have come to really like this feature. The chronograph measures 60 full minutes, counting upwards, and is pretty easy to read accurately, though the minute and hour hands can periodically obscure the face(if its really important to see the minute dial you can just change the universal time so there is no obstruction). There is no buzzer or anything, the second hand simply stops moving when time is up. When you reset the chronograph the second hand zips around to 12 which is pretty fun to watch. :-)

I have had zero charging issues from the moment I took it out of the box -- I took a walk in the sun and it has worked perfectly since then, which is really convenient. What's really cool is that this charges to artificial light and sunlight, so you basically never need to buy a battery again.

I would also like to comment on the "social responsibility" and "environmental" aspect of this watch...while it is solar powered, its band is leather...cows contribute to global warming. Yes its battery is less environmentally harmful than normal ones, but its just a watch. Buy it because it is functional and you like it, not because you somehow think you are helping any global issues by making this purchase. In my opinion the appeal to environmentalism Citizen makes is a gimmick (though I don't really care, its a great watch and they seem to make a good product). No offense to the person who made this comment. Ultimately I would say the quality, utility and aesthetic appeal of this watch give it a really great value to price ratio.

Exceptional Timepiece
This Citizen Eco-Drive watch is an excellent timepiece. Great looks, accurate time-keeping, and solar powered.
What could be better than that combination? Social responsibility, environmental conciousness, and on-time arrival!

My boyfriend loves this watch!
